My name is Dr. John C. Young and I am the Founder and President of The Eye Guys Incorporated. I have provided Comprehensive Eye Examinations in this location since January 1993. My coworker, Tim Kengerski is truly a Master Optician and has been here since 1988.

Comprehensive Eye Examinations

I provide comprehensive primary care eye examinations to adults and children over the age of 4 years old (younger children I recommend to a Pediatric Ophthalmologist). We schedule our eye examinations at least 30 minutes apart so you do not have to wait on us and never feel rushed through an exam. I thoroughly check your eyes inside and out for any potential eye disorders and diseases (such as Cataracts, Glaucoma, Ocular Allergies, etc.) and take the time to explain the results to you in a way you can understand. Your visual skills and abilities are carefully evaluated and I pride myself on the accuracy of my eyeglass prescriptions.

Contact Lenses

I fit all types of Soft Contact Lenses; Disposable, Traditional, Toric, Multifocal, Monovision etc. I do not fit Rigid Gas Permeable Contacts any more. I have come to really appreciate the safety and convenience of Daily Disposable Contacts. I no longer recommend Extended Wear Contacts to my patients, I have seen too many complications with sleeping in the Contacts. I stock most minus powers of the B&L Softlens Daily Disposable Contacts so my patients can pick up contacts at their convenience.

Eyeglass Frames

We have over 800 frames to choose from in our optical, ranging in price from $49 to $249 for designer frames. Each frame is hand picked by Tim to offer a full selection of frame styles and sizes to provide you with all the latest trends in fashion eyewear. We are glad to assist you with frame selection, giving you our honest opinion on the size, shape and color that best fits you. We offer free adjustments and repairs to all eyeglasses (regardless where you bought them). Tim takes the time to explain to you all the options available to you on your eyeglass lenses (ie. types of lens materials, types of bifocals, coatings, etc). We never recommend anything that is not in the best interest of our patients.
